Our first aid requirements calculator gives you a clear insight how many first aiders HSE recommends for your workplace!
Please read the comments below before you run the Calculator
Calculator
Please be aware that when it asks you how many areas you have, it is talking about significant areas that are too far apart for a first aider to cover
For example, two separate buildings or a very large building where it would take a while for a first aider to move from their current location to where the incident might be
When completing the section on risks, only mark the box if there is a significant risk - obviously there is always a risk that someone would sprain their ankle while walking, but the calculator is asking about significant risks such as the use of machinery
Once completed, you will receive a detailed report of your first aid needs, on which you can base the numbers of first aiders you will need, and as to what training they should receive
