Safety Signs

Safety Signs fall under The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996 (PDF).
We are probably all quite familiar with seeing these signs around. However, are you aware of the fact that in 2011 a new European Directive came out for how these signs are portrayed? This is to standardize the system of giving safety information that relies as little as possible on the use of words to achieve the required understanding. Despite the fact this new Standard came out five years ago, one often still sees the old signs around, and even when buying them, so please be aware.
