The Condiment Company Ltd is recalling their Hunter & Gather Avocado Oil Mayonnaise because of a concern that is contains both mould and may be contaminated with salmonella bacteria.
Apparently, this is due to a recipe error.
Salmonella
Salmonella can be found in the guts of animals and humans, and thus can be in foods such as raw meat and poultry, unpasteurised dairy products and eggs.
This avocado oil mayonnaise carries a risk due to the potential presence of salmonella. In humans, symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
