Salmonella Recall: Achva Sesame, Seasoned and Whole Sesame Tahinis
Salmonella Recall: Achva Tahinis

Achva Tahinis
Drumsticks Products Co Ltd are recalling three tahini products because they are connected to an international outbreak of salmonella infections.
Their supplier, Achdut Ltd, is also recalling their products.
Salmonella
Salmonella can be found in the guts of animals and humans, and thus can be in foods such as raw meat and poultry, unpasteurised dairy products and eggs.
This pet food carries a potential risk due to the presence of salmonella, either through direct handling of the pet food, or indirectly, for example from pet feeding bowls, utensils or contact with the faeces of animals. In humans, symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. Infected animals themselves may not necessarily display signs of illness, but symptoms can include diarrhoea.
