Course Contents

  • Some of the reasons children behave in a challenging way
  • How we can prevent the behaviour for taking place
  • What we can do to de-escalate the situation
  • How to manage behaviours
  •  What is your legal position when managing these behaviours
  • Great for teachers and staff in schools, and others who work with children and young people who present with difficult behaviours such as pre-school and afterschool clubs, youth clubs, and even in the home environment

Benefits of this Short Course:

  • More and more children are being expelled from school due to their behaviour - in 2015/16, almost 6.700 of them
  • In that same year, 340,000 children were temporary excluded
  • However, more than half of children excluded from school have mental health problems
  • And many others are disabled, with conditions such as ADHD and Autism
  • These children can be very disruptive to the learning of the other pupils. However, their own learning is also taking a huge hit.
  •  It's always better to prevent the behaviour and deal with the cause of it, so all children and young people can learn to the best of their abilities
