Contamination Recall: SPAR’s Blueberry Muffins (4 Pack)
Contamination Recall: SPAR's Blueberry Muffins
SPAR's Blueberry Muffins
SPAR is recalling their 4 packs of Blueberry Muffins because they may contain pieces of plastic, which could cause a serious choking hazard.
It's not just the choking hazard that makes these blueberry muffins unsafe to eat, but swallowed, the plastic could also do damage to the digestive system.
Types of Contamination
There are four different types of food contamination:
- Physical Contamination
- Chemical Contamination
- Microbial Contamination
- Allergenic Contamination
Physical Contamination occurs when an object enters the food or drink product. In this case, the physical contamination takes the form of small pieces of plastic. This makes it very unsafe to eat these blueberry muffins.
