The Village Bakery Markethill's Bakery Products

The Village Bakery Markethill is recalling quite a few of their bakery products because they contain various undeclared or incorrectly labelled allergens.

There has since been an extended recall, where foods containing both soya and mustard have also been included.

The allergens that are not mentioned at all, or are incorrectly labeled, are soya, mustard, sesame, celery, milk or milk constituents, wheat (gluten), oats (gluten) and barley (gluten).

Here is the Food Standards Agency's original recall notice, and here is the updated version. The Village Bakery MarketHill has not created it's own recall. We could not find a website for them, though they do have a Facebook Page. The only mention they have made regarding this recall is saying that "the main problem was that we had not highlighted the word MILK" - however, this array of food products also contain a lot of other allergens (soya, mustard, sesame, celery, wheat (gluten), oats (gluten) and barley (gluten)) that are not properly highlighted or mentioned...
