Allergen Recall: Lidl’s Choc Choco & Caramel Bars
Allergen Recall: Lidl's Choc Choco & Caramel Bars

Lidl's Choc Choco & Caramel Bars
Lidl GB is recalling their Mister Choc Choco & Caramel Bars because due to a packaging error, they contain Caramel Peanut Bars instead - containing the allergen peanuts. This could cause a fatal health hazard to those with allergies to peanuts...
Peanut Allergies
A person with a severe allergy to peanuts has to avoid every bit of contact with peanuts - even shaking the hand of someone who has just eaten peanuts, or a food containing peanuts, could literally kill them - they could go into anaphylactic shock (also called anaphylaxis) - and if they are not immediately treated, they could die from this.
So it is extremely important that any foods containing peanuts are clearly labeled, so those with a peanut allergy can avoid those. Everyone in their household, and even preferably at work, should also not be consuming peanuts, just in case of cross-contamination - the allergic person's life literally depends on it..!
