Les Brioche recalls its Les Brioche Pain au Lait Brioche Rolls 8 Pack because of undeclared soya

Les Brioche Pain au Lait Brioche

The Les Brioche Pain au Lait Brioche Rolls 8 Pack is being recalled. Due to a processing fault, the bags are filled with Les Brioche Chocolate Chip Brioche Rolls, which contain soya.

Allergens

The Brioche Pain Chocolate Chip Brioche Rolls contain the allergen soya. But because the package is supposed to be containing the actual product, the Pains au Lait rolls, which do not contain soya, soya is not mentioned on the ingredients list.

This means that someone who has an allergy to soya would be thinking that these Brioche Rolls are safe to eat for them - when actually, they are not. Or someone else might give these to a person with an allergy to soya, after having checked the ingredients list and thinking it safe to do so. In a worst case scenario, this could mean that the person might go into anaphylactic shock (also called anaphylaxis) - and if they are not immediately treated, they could die from this.
