English Heritage Alcoholic Drinks

English Heritage is recalling several of their alcoholic drinks because they contain sulphites, which are not mentioned on the label. This could cause a serious health issue for those with an allergy or intolerance to sulphites.

Sulphites

Sulphites, also known SOor sulphur dioxide, is one of the 14 allergens that must be clearly highlighted on the labeling of any food or drink sold in the EU (and thus, the UK), to preserve the help of the very many people that suffer from allergies or intolerances to certain foods. People can have an allergy, or intolerance to other foods as well, so the list is not conclusive, but these are the main ones that all food producers must make clear for all consumers.

For more information on Sulphite Sensitivity, you'll find a useful leaflet here.
