Lidl Deluxe Drinking Chocolate Sticks

Lidl is recalling four of their Deluxe Chocolate Drinking sticks because none of the ingredients are in the English language. Therefore, none of the allergens are clearly readable.

Allergens

The Chocolate Sticks contain the allergens milk, soya, nuts and wheat (gluten). As those allergens are not clearly displayed (in English), this means that someone who has an allergy to either of those ingredients, could think they are safe to drink. Similarly, if someone else is preparing a drink for a person with a severe allergy to any of these ingredients, they could think it okay to give to that person. In a worst case scenario, this could mean that the person might go into anaphylactic shock (also called anaphylaxis) - and if they are not immediately treated, they could die from this.

So it is very important that everyone should be able to quickly and easily see what the allergens in any foods are.
