Renew Life UK is recalling some of their probiotic supplements because they contain milk proteins. For a line that is supposed to be dairy free, which means that those with an allergy of or intolerance to milk might see it as THE brand to use, this could have a health consequence for their consumers.
And they seem to be taking it seriously, as the recall is mentioned right on their own home page (many recalls are hard to find on the affected product company's own website, let alone their actual home page)!
Renew Life UK has a tag line of 'The Renew Line Difference'. This states that their formulas contain no nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, mustard seeds, wheat, celery, gluten, lactose, yeast, corn, egg, dairy, soy, crustaceans, shellfish, added salt or sugar, artificial colour or preservatives, binders or fillers. Renew Life does not use genetically modified ingredients. All ingredients are Non-GMO / GMO-Free and are sustainably sourced.
So actually having lactose and dairy in their probiotics is not a good thing...
